Dragon for Mac v6 is hopeless. Really truly dire. It is completely reliable on Windows, but my everyday ‘in the rucksack’ machine is a Mac. If it doesn’t work with Word, then it’s a pretty pointless application. Text messange for mac. However, I have started using Document Writer Pro (free) to transcribe text and this seems to work well. Click on the Word Options button located in the bottom right of the menu. On the left, click Add-Ins. At the bottom of the menu, look for a dropdown box next to the word ‘Manage’. In the dropdown select ‘Disabled Items’ and click the Go button. Click once on “NatSpeak Word AddIn” then click the Enable button. We had Dragon Dictate for Mac v4, Dragon for Mac v5, and now Dragon Professional Individual for Mac v6. This change matches the naming conventions in place on the Windows® side of things, e.g., Dragon Professional Individual 15.
